
Alma began her financial services career working at Newton Financial Group when Mike opened the Bowling Green office in October 2000. For 19 years, Alma was a registered representative and insurance agent. Utilizing her own personal experiences, Alma has been instrumental in helping clients deal with financial issues following the deaths of family members.
Alma has extensive business management knowledge and work experience. Prior to Newton Financial Group, she was manager of Franklin Country Club, and has worked in many administrative and accounting areas in education, government, and manufacturing facilities in Franklin, KY.
A longtime supporter of the community, Alma is a member of Franklin Business and Professional Women’s Club, prior holding local and regional offices, including Club President, and also was active on local, regional, and state committees. Alma is an active member of First United Methodist Church in Franklin, KY, where she currently serves on the Trustees and Hospitality committees. At church she has held the offices of treasurer, administrative board secretary, and has served on all the various committees. She is a member of the Franklin-Simpson Garden Club and their Photography Club and participates in many projects they are involved in and serving as Hospitality Chair for the past four years.
Alma is from Pulaski County, KY (Nancy/Somerset area) and has lived in Franklin since 1969. She is the proud mother of three girls. Her family now includes six grandchildren, their spouses, and eight great-grandchildren. She has been a widow for 23 years and still keeps the highways busy, visiting and attending activities with her family.
Alma enjoys playing golf and attending golf tournaments, outings, and traveling with friends and family, reading, walking, and photography. Alma worked part-time for four years helping mostly with accounting, administrative, and management concerns. Now she is back in the office most days helping with the recent transition to Cambridge.
